Camp Emerson Map

Nestled among the pines of the San Jacinto Mountains in Idyllwild, California, Camp Emerson has been a destination for outdoor adventure and Scouting for more than a century. Scouts first began camping here in 1919, and today the camp is operated by the California Inland Empire Council.

As you explore the map, you’ll find many of Camp Emerson’s favorite gathering places and program areas. Near the center of camp are the pool, dining hall, trading post, and headquarters, while trails lead farther into camp toward Lake Gallaher, the archery and outdoor-skills areas, climbing tower, and numerous campsites. Camp Emerson also features a 60-foot climbing tower, a full-size swimming pool, and miles of hiking trails through the surrounding mountain landscape. Whether heading to an activity, returning to a campsite, or simply exploring the trails beneath the pines, there is plenty to discover throughout Camp Emerson.
