Merit Badge Classes

Scouts, BSA

Scouts can choose to take 1 Merit Badge workshop required for the Distinguished Conservation Service Award plus work on a conservation project for rank advancement credit:

*Geology

*Nature

*Insect Study

*Soil and Water Conservation

*Fishing

* Archeology

 

**Below are some suggested pre-work to have completed (be able to show proof: pictures, video, final project) before attending the SOAR Event. Parents can sign a letter confirming family discussions only.  Not completing these requirements might result in a partial blue card.  Some merit badges cannot be completed in a day, so a partial will be given.

Fishing: #9,10
Forestry: #1 – use iNaturalist to identify unknown species
Geology: #5
Nature: #4 – use iNaturalist to identify unknown species
Soil and Water Conservation: #7
Weather: #3,6,9, be prepared to do #10
Archeology: #4,11
Insect Study: #5, 10
